Marrying my best friend and Olympic coach

Marrying my best friend and Olympic coach: pic of us on chairlift. My love for Freeskiing not only introduced me to some incredible life long friends, I also met my husband through skiing. Chris and I met in Aspen. He was just about to shape the halfpipe and I had just finished training in it. He brought me French Fries and, needless to say, we have been friends ever since. Chris makes me laugh and he pushes me to be the best version of myself I can be. He loves building jumps and features as much as I love riding them. Chris also has a background in stuntin’ out on his skis and was ahead of his time in the freeski world, as tells me that back in the day he turned a pair of straight skis into twin tips so he could land backwards before twin tips were even invented, BADACE! It was a natural fit for Chris to coach me as he knows me so well, knows the sport so well and is not afraid to tell me to toughen up if ever I needed it J The years that I competed with Chris as my coach were the most successful years of my career. Skiing became very serious in the lead up to the Olympics, and if ever I became too stressed out Chris would remind me how fun skiing is and that we do it because we love it!
