Art and how it derives from freesking and the mountains ( Art in Action)
Three of my favourite things in life are skiing, adventuring in the mountains and art. I enjoy art, like freeskiing, as a great outlet to express myself. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved the challenge of releasing my imagination onto paper through drawing and illustration. At school I’d constantly be getting into trouble for doodling on my schoolbooks, but as I grew up and my art developed, I’ve had the opportunity to work with authors to illustrate their children’s books, for other kids to doodle on ;).
I love creating with all kinds of different medians but my most fave is painting acrylic onto unconventional wooden surfaces, especially skate decks. Creating mountainscapes has been something I have loved to do since middle school, I’ve just recently enjoyed incorporating action into my mountainscapes and that has added a new dimension to my art. I have so many wonderful images in mind to paint and I am so enjoying the process of getting the art out of my head and onto a canvas for others to enjoy! My goal is to capture the beauty of the world we live in, in the hopes of bringing joy to others and inspiring us all to get out and enjoy nature.
