I Graduated!

In 2019 I graduated with a degree in Education. To say it took blood, sweat, and tears to cross the finish line would be an understatement! Teaching is one of the hardest most rewarding things I have ever done, and I am forever changed because of it!

Working with kids is both fantastic and exhausting all in one go, but I don’t think I’d have it any other way!

As a student teacher I was very blessed to work with some amazing teachers who never hesitated to share their wealth of knowledge and trick tips with me! It is amazing to watch an experienced teacher engage students and manage his or her classroom with what looks like effortless grace, although they’d always tell me it’s taken them years to master these skills and a lot of bumps and bruises along the way… PHEW, there is still hope for me yet!

A highlight of my teaching career thus far was witnessing my 2nd grade students light up when learning how to do multiplication. It is a wonderous thing to watch kids overcome challenges and, after recognizing that they actually can do hard things, fall in love with learning!

My teaching journey continues in Bend, where I have been substitute teaching.

Educators are some of the toughest, kindest, charismatic, and gracious people I have ever met. I feel truly blessed and honored to be part of such an amazing community of people! So much to learn, so little time!
